Ryan Randall Briehof passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 37.
Ryan leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Michelle, and two beautiful children – Ella Ryan, 10, and Zachary Ralph, 6.
Ryan received his undergraduate degree in Biology in 2007 from Northeastern University, where his love story with Michelle began. He went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Pharmacological Sciences in 2011 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Ryan was an avid sports fan who cheered on his Yankees and Rangers until the very end. He was a talented bowler who achieved his first perfect score of 300 at the age of 11 – becoming the third youngest person in the United State to do so at the time. To this day, a photograph of Ryan pitching for his high school baseball team is on display at a local restaurant near his hometown of Copake, New York.
Perhaps most importantly, Ryan was a loving family man who devoted his life to his wife and children. Michelle became pregnant with Ella just as Ryan was scheduled for the first of many brain surgeries he would endure over the next 11 years, and it was his desire to see his children grow up that allowed him to face his diagnosis so bravely.
Ryan had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was utterly contagious. He was a beloved friend to so many, was quick with a joke or a story, and could make even a stranger feel at home. He lived a full and joyous life, and many did not know about his prognosis until his final days. His kind, gentle spirit and wicked sense of humor lives on in his children.
In addition to Michelle, Ella, and Zachary, Ryan is survived by his grandmother, Nancy Briehof; his father and step-mother, William and Paula Briehof; his mother and step-father, Christine and Joseph Byrnes; and his siblings, Sean Briehof, Jordan Byrnes, and Tristan Byrnes.

Matt will be deeply and forever missed by his devoted wife of nine years, Kimberly Fahey-Calafiore of Avon-by-the-Sea. Matt was a gentle giant, a “mush,” when it came to Kim. “My wife is not spoiled, she is lovely” he would say, when accused of spoiling her too much. Although he was a relatively quiet person, Matt could make his “Sweeeety” laugh until her sides ached, and he loved her and protected her like only he could do.

Kim would also like to thank her and Matt’s many friends, relatives, and colleagues who have offered immeasurable amounts of love, prayers, and support throughout this most difficult time. You will never know how much it is appreciated and how profound its impact.
Matt was truly a miracle, enduring 28 hospitalizations over the past six years, including two massive heart attacks and a carcinoid tumor in his appendix. He fought with steadfast determination and would get back up and continue to fight against all odds. His courage was unmatched and will be a source of comfort and inspiration to his wife forever.
Please remember Matt with smiles and laughter, whether it be on the golf course, when you hear a corny joke (like the ones he always told, some more than once!), or when you see a classic Cadillac drive by. He will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born in Newark, NJ on May 20, 1947. Son of Frank and Catherine Lineberry. He grew up in Shark River Hills, Neptune.
He was a graduate from Kean University (formerly Newark State College), earning a bachelor’s degree in early education and later his Master’s Degree in Education Administration. Theodore M. Newcomer Sr.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Theodore Martin Newcomer Sr. Theodore was born on August 25th, 1949 in Fitkin Hospital, Neptune NJ. He grew up in Neptune with his five siblings, where he graduated from Neptune High School, he attended the Missouri University of Science & Technology, in Rolla MO. He resided and raised his family in Bradley Beach, NJ where he lived for forty-five years. Ted was a Master Electrician and a Master HVACR Licensee, where he learned the electrical trade from his father Abram, who was also a Master Electrician Licensee. Ted, in his earlier years, was a skilled painter and creator of custom hand painted signs, where he usually was found on weekends at flea markets and craft shows throughout NJ. In recent years, Ted was a Licensed Real Estate Agent with the State of NJ, at Patrick Parker Realty. He was an avid fisherman, from surf casting to long runs out to the canyon with his buddies fishing for tuna and mako shark. Ted was well known for an unparalleled sense of humor for any occasion, in any environment and usually at an inappropriate time, along with a relentless and endearing sarcasm of “busting people’s chops” that found its way into many conversations with his most beloved family, friends, and associates. He is also known as Ted, Teddy, Uncle Ted, Dad and most importantly Pop Pop to 4 of his most cherished and adored individuals, his grandchildren. He was a collector of many great artifacts, possibly the lost parts of the Dead Seas Scrolls, tools, and still brand-new office supplies, enough to stock the Empire State Building for a month, that he had a hard time letting go of through the years.
He passed away on Wednesday April 21st, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center with his immediate family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Abram D. Newcomer & Doris A. Newcomer, a brother James M. Newcomer, and his in-laws Walter C. Rummel and Janet R. Rummel. Theodore is survived by his loving wife and caretaker of 49 years, Cathi H.
